TINALO ni JD Moje ng Intergrated School of Montessori, Marilao, Bulacan kontra si Jared Tan ng Victory Christian School, Pasig sa 29 moves ng Sicilian Rosolimo tangan ang white pieces sa fifth at final round para tanghaling over-all champion sa katatapos na 13th leg ng Meralco Chess Club Chess Championship Huwebes na ginanap sa Meralco headquarters sa Lopez Canteen, Building, Ortigas, Pasig City.
Ang 12-year-old Moje ay nakalikom ng 4.5 points sa five outings mula sa four wins at draw enroute tungo sa coveted chess title plus gold medal courtesy ng Meralco Chess Club at Good Samaritans of Meralco.
" The Meralco Chess Club Tourney was started last December with GM Bong Villamayor and other chess masters handled the said event.The participants are mostly children of MERALCO employees but we regularly invite kids from public schools whose fees are sponsored by the so-called Good Samaritans of MERALCO; just to share thier blessings and help keep these promising kids off the streets."sabi ni Meralco Chess Club president Rolly "Sol" Cruz.
Panalo din si Moje kontra kina Phillip Grant Buhat, Axel at Aleksei Fernandez bago makipag draw kay lone female entry Jonalyn Abajon sa fourth at penultimate round.
Tatlong manlalaro ang magkasalo sa 2nd hanggang 4th placers na may tig 4 points ito'y sina Buhat, Abajon at Joshua Tan, subalit ng ginamitan ng tie break points, si Buhat ang nakapag-uwi ng silver medal habang nakopo naman ni Abajon ang bronze medal.
