1.e4 c5
This pawn move by Black in response to 1.e4 is known as the Sicilian Defense, one of the most popular way to open a game.

2... d6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 g6
In opening theory, this is known as the Dragon Variation of the Sicilian. According to the book Modern Chess Openings, "The Dragon Variation is Black's most direct attacking scheme in the Sicilian. The fianchettoed bishop on g7 exerts a powerful influence on the long diagonal , bearing down on the center and queenside."

The Dragon is in the repertoire of World Champions:
a) Botvinnik (http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1031806),
b) Kasparov (http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1031806), and
c) Khalifman {http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1031806}.

6.Be2
Aaron, by adhering to the basic opening principle of piece development in opening phase, has unknowingly played the well known Classical Variation that his look alike, World Champion Vishy Anand of India, played vs Topalov (http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1018490).

6... Bg7 7.O-O O-O
As written in the book Mastering the Chess Openings, which is part of the chess camp workbook compliments of Nap Domingo of Office Services, "One of the most important guidelines in chess is to protect your King from harm."

8.f4
This is the mark of the Levinfish Variation as in Tal vs Lisitsin, Leningrad 1956  (http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1139306).

8... e5 9.fxe5 dxe5 10.Ndb5 Qxd1
Don't complicate. Exchange Qs and leave a R and 2 or 3 minor pieces on the board.

11.Rxd1 Nc6 12.Nc7 Rb8 13.Be3 Bg4 14.Bxg4 Nxg4 15.Bc5 Rd8
Don't let your opponent control open files with his Rs.
A Collection of Chess Wisdoms

16.Rxd8 Rxd8
According to NM Marlon, the position is still equal at this point.

17.Bxa7??
As written in the book Portable Chess Coach, "Avoid impulsive behavior and snap judgments. A single hasty move can lose a game you spent hours trying to win."

17... Nxa7 -+
And JD has a one piece advantage which was easily converted into a win.

Result: 0-1
