The XXII Leon tournament was a rapid knockout tournament 4 games at 20 minutes plus 10 seconds a move, two 5' blitz playoff and finally an Armageddon games which took place 5th-7th June 2009.
Magnus Carlsen beat Vassily Ivanchuk 4-3 after a blitz playoff in the final.
