IM Chito employed the rare Albin Counter Gambit; 2... e5.

Karl replied with the main line; 3. dxe5 and 4.Nf3.

It was IM Chito, perhaps feeling that Karl knows the opening, who went out of the main line with 4... c5 instead of 4... Nc6.

And perhaps, the IM's gambit prospered because Karl continued with 5.g3; played only once according to the chessgames.com database. The unanimous move is 5.e3 with a 75% winning performance.
