Tahanan Walang Hagdanan was the very first community that MERALCO Chess Club visited. I think it was in 2006, with Koyang Danny Degollado, Ernie Cube, Ricky Tan, Darryl Mata, William Chan, Ka Romy Aguilar, me, and a couple more.
This was followed by many other visits including the simul by now-NM Pau Bersamina, the kiddies composed of Justin Lim, JC Andan, Janjo Miguel, Rhal Sol Cruz, and Joseph Bersamina, and the workshops by me and by the late NM Vasquez.
And it is truly fitting that Rhal does a simul with its kids. Actually, this was the second time already.
