The first NM Vic Cabrido Memorial Cup is being planned for October, maybe on the 17th, if the sponsor we are talking will release the fund on time. But this will not be as big as the 1st MMLDC Cup in terms of budget, thus it will be limited to 50 players (kiddies) and will be by invitation only.
Vic Cabrido worked for MERALCO and was one of the pillars of MERALCO chess.

This is open to all junior members of MERALCO Chess Club and the top 10 in the MMLDC Kiddies Chess Cup and the top 10 in the PSC Kiddies and Shell Kiddies leg will be invited (thus no registration fee).
Format is 30-30, 5 round Swiss and KO rounds for the top players.
Prizes are:
P1,000 for Champion plus medal
500 for 2nd placer plus medal
200 for 3rd plus medal
200 for 4th plus medal
RP Champs Pau Bersamina, Jean Karen Enriquez, and Darryl Samantila has just confirmed their participation.
