One of my favorite movie is The 13th Warrior with Antonio Banderas in the lead role and as the summer vacation is about to end, 12-year old JD Moje proved to be the lucky 13 as he bested 10 others (5 of whom are in high school) in the 13th MERALCO Workshop Mini-Tourney by scoring 4 wins and 1 draw in 5 games. Ramon Magsaysay Hi's Philip Buhat, the 4th Casiano Sol Cruz Memorial co-Champion, Jonalyn Abajon and small but terrible Jared Tan talled 3.5 pts a piece to settle for a tie for 2nd to 4th places.

For the record, this is just the 12th workshop since Dec. But it is correct that this is the 13th tourney counting the 4th Sol Cruz Memorial Cup.
