The MERALCO Chess Club ended 2007 with a Christmas Blitz Tournament with National master Andrew Vasquez as special guest and participant. Ricky tan of Revenue Assurance Management ruled the event with Romy Aguilar of Call Center and Rolly sol Cruz of Customer Porcess coming in 2nd and 3rd place, respectively. However, only Jojo Orjaleza of North Sales scored against Nm vasquez by holding him to a draw via perpetual check.
